About Covenant College
Established in 1988, with a consistency of 100 students and 11 staff members, Covenant College has grown from a small school into a thriving community school with a strong Christian ethos. No journey is without its hardships. Covenant College has stood the test of time as we look back to early beginnings and how God blessing prevailed.
The College was established out of a vision to provide education based on Christian principles. Our academic staff is currently 39-members from diverse backgrounds, all registered with SACE, and each specialising in their own specific field. Our diversity extends to our students through co-education and the celebration of each students unique gifts and talents. Our aim is to educate learners to develop to their full potential in a structured Christian environment so that they will be equipped to take up their rightful place and make a meaningful contribution to society. We believe in keeping our classes small so that students can receive personal attention.
Tuition is offered from grade R – 12, following the CAPS curriculum and our matriculates write the IEB matric exams. We offer a large selection of FET phase subject including: Computer Application Technology, Engineering and Graphic Design, Geography, History, Accounting, Life Science, Physical Science, Visual Arts, Economics, and Business Studies. The standard of teaching at Covenant College is very high as we strive for excellence in academics.
We believe that to develop fully, we need to challenge the mind, body and spirit. Covenant College offers a wide variety of sports and cultural activities, from boys and girls soccer, tennis, netball, touch rugby and cricket to ball room dancing, drama, eisteddfod and public speaking.
