Mr B du Preez

Mr B du Preez holds a Higher Diploma in Education with majors in English, Mathematics and Gifted Child Education as a professional teacher. He has also completed the Further Diploma in Education and BTech: Human Resources Development degree with a strong focus on Curriculum Design and Human Performance Improvement methodology. He recently completed the Advanced Certificate in Education at University of Johannesburg.
Mr du Preez was appointed as Deputy Principal from 1997 to 2003 but left teaching to pursue a career in the private sector as Learning & Development Manager up until 2012. The 12 years of experience within the corporate business environment, also affords him specialist experience to identify knowledge and skills students need for successful engagement in the business and corporate environment. He believes that passing this knowledge, skills and experience onto students, creates a holistic and practical benefit for students, parents and colleagues alike.
Brian is an ardent sportsman and keen golfer. He has a special love for classical music and is regarded as an accomplished tenor with a focus on choral singing. Brian has deep Christian principles, and is a recognised soloist and Praise & Worship leader at his local church. He also has specialist skills for film-making, photography, video production and editing.
Brian is married for 20 years to his wife, Debbie. His goal in life has always been to ensure that any contribution he makes will bring positive change to the corner of society he finds himself in. High School History
Opened in 2007 by Mrs M Swanepoel; Covenant College high school has grown into an independent sector of the Covenant College extension. Boasting newly built facilities and small classes, we offer a unique educational experience. Our commitment is to nurture every learner’s individual God given talents, and to encourage each person to become confident, self-determined individuals ready to make a meaningful contribution to society.
